I wrote about an investigation that I performed on a New Mexico security company that was defrauding its clients and potential clients with fake certificates of worker's compensation insurance and verbal statements. This company has bounced payroll checks to its guards and is reportedly behind on paying many employees by weeks.
Legit Enterprises and Legit Security provided this insurance certificate to is clients and potential clients while marketing> Download LegitBS.pdf I obtained this from one of Legit's former clients who was defrauded in Santa Fe. Legit gave this insurance certificate to the client proving it had proper insurance and $1 Million dollars worker's compensation insurance. This is a fake document.
The Worker's Compensation Administration stated that Legit, Stidham or Baca had no insurance that they could find in their system and that they were not in compliance. I spoke to the compliance liaison Jessica Chavez 505-841-6003, who verified that she was working a case on Legit and that she mailed a notice of non-compliance to Legit and spoke to Gil Baca. He said that the company had insurance but hasn't provided insurance certificates to her. She said that Legit's worker's compensation insurance was canceled on July 4, 2007 due to non-payment of premiums.
As of this writing legit has no worker's compensation insurance. Check for yourself...

The truth is the truth and this is BS. Why do these guys do this kind of stuff? Who knows. What happens if their employees get injured? Oh. I forgot. One did get injured on the job. Corporal Cox as reported to have broken his leg on duty and paid under the table by Legit's owners so that he wouldn't make an insurance claim. Two of Legit's employees verified this fact and gave me information that I shared with the worker's compensation Administration. I have actually shared a lot of information with this agency. Please read the last e-mail that I received from the Bureau Chief of compliance.

Good Morning Mr. Hamic:
Yes, that e-mail was forwarded to our General Counsel. The department I
manage deals strictly with bringing employers into compliance that are
not carrying workers comp insurance.
Thanks and have a great day.

I shared this information and other elements of my investigation with law enforcement and other state agencies. I continue to get information and calls from Legit's employees who are facing hardships because of their illegal activity. I have encouraged them to file complaints and claims with Department of Labor, worker's compensation, law enforcement and other agencies. The truth is the truth.
I understand that many of Legit's new clients in Santa Fe got wise to this deception and the fake, forged document. I assume that it has been provided by Legit to many other clients and potential clients, actually- I know.
